08.01.03 - TGIF

Ok, is the week over yet? We have all had challenges lately that have tested our patience, trust, faith, and sense of balance, right? I am not going to tell you to remember that you set all those events into place, nor will I go on and on about the need to go with the flow. What I am going to do, is to gently remind all of us that every aspect of negativity, irrationality, selfishness, and destructiveness are stages of soul development that provoke us to move into stronger spiritual spaces.

If we lived in a state of harmony and bliss all the time, where everything is fine we would never discover the worst within us. It would stay dormant, unexposed, and would not go through the necessary process of purification. These spaces within us are always triggered exactly at the right time for their healing. They need the exposure and the provocation so that we can consciously know all of us. These undeveloped aspects assist each of us on our path to wholeness. And by the way, the more of these episodes you can work through successfully the safer you are going to feel in your own skin, so to speak. You learn to remain essentially whole, no matter what others do or fail to do, no matter how they react, you are unaffected and can stand in a centered place of balance. All negativity that you can walk/work through (in you) can no longer exist, and can no longer flare up when others do wrong by you. You may be hurt, or angry, but in an entirely different way than when your own unresolved faults and flaws are triggered by outside circumstances.

So while we all face challenges in many, many different forms it is truly our struggle for the wisdom and clarity of spirit that allows the darkest, most ignorant limitations to spur us on to wholeness.

TREATMENT:
Spirit is always present in every moment, being the source and substance of all things. It is my source, and it is to be found within me. I know that the nature of spirit is always to reveal greater and greater wholeness, no matter what. Regardless of the path I take to reveal that wholeness, whether it's comfortable or uncomfortable, the truth is that wholeness is always available to be seen, felt, and experienced.

I know that Spirit knows how to heal all that needs to be healed; it knows how to do it in me, and it knows how to do it in every part of me. It knows how to heal my body, my mind, my heart, and my understanding. It does all of this now, for I specifically invite it to do so. The truth is that nothing actually ever needs to be healed; only the innate perfection that is my true identity revealed. I let this happen in me now, and I let it happen in every situation in which I find myself. I'm not willing to settle for anything less than absolute, joyous, perfect wholeness. I invoke it by means of this prayer. And I give thanks for the power of Spirit that goes to work accomplishing this intention. And so it is.

08.04.03 - Conscious Intending

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense."

Here's a powerful tool for clearing consciousness when you are standing in the face of contradicting thoughts or facts that oppose your good, or the good you intend to have -- ready? Stop, thinking negatively. Decide that you are going to set some high standards for yourself. Do not give way to that which appears as situations controlling your life. The biggest mistake you will make this week is getting caught up in what is happening right in front of you! If your daily life doesn't contain activities that your Soul can dance with then you need to realign. Align with what? How about with a conscious awareness of your highest masterful potential? Take a moment in each day to relax the body, calm the mind, and with poise and grace affirm the victories that are coming your way. This is the "skillful response" you want to rely on when challenges visit your environment. Do NOT persist in giving in and recreating the things that are not going right by verbally declaring they have power in your world. We all tend to do this, quite innocently, in our daily conversations. Think before you respond this week when asked, "How are you? What's going on? So how's the world treating you? Etc." Remember, it is easy to go amid the noise and haste and still be the silence of Spirit. All it takes for the transformation to take place is a willingness to unfold gracefully into that Nature that embodies Itself organically within each of us.

This week make it your practice to consciously sever your participation in doubt, with angry judgments, with criticism, and with condemnation. The universe is a friendly place! Make conscious choices and decisions with a soulful purpose trusting that no matter how things may appear, Life endures and prevails, and that what creates and sustains us each moment, "has us in its hands and will not let us fail."

TREATMENT:
Right where I am, God is. I live at the very heart of an infinite spiritual system that is Divine in nature, lawful in its action, Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. I experience this spiritual system as love, because that is what it is. I am created from this perfect love; every facet of my being is this love in expression.

And I have been given the power to express this love through my life today and every day. Rather than think about choices I could have made, I choose mindfully today. Instead of lamenting the roads I did not choose, today I choose a road that is rich with opportunity and filled with the potential to create heaven on earth. This very day, I embrace my life and all that it contains. I open my heart to enfold every experience, every person, every fact or condition, and every moment of my life.

This doesn't mean that I mindlessly give thanks for the pain I have encountered in my journey. It does not mean that I simply accept whatever comes along. I choose to understand fully and completely that this kind of loving is more than sentiment or romance; it is pure spiritual power. I accept my life, and I accept responsibility for my life. This empowers me to make whatever changes in thought, word, or deed that will lead me to a greater experience of wholeness, of wealth, of creativity, and yes, of love.

I wasn't created to suffer or regret; I was created out of Love Itself to give love away in all that I do. I was created to live a magnificently full life, and I choose to do this today. Whatever I'm holding onto from the past that's just excess baggage is now released, and I am free. The expectations I have harbored about how things should be are yesterday's ideas; rather than live in old expectations, I live in knowing. I know that my life is spirit in form, and that every instant of it is blessed. And so am I. And so it is.

08.05.03 - A Day Off

Guess what? You all have earned a day off! Yeah, we all love it when we get bonuses and this one comes right at a time when you need it most. Yesterday, it seems a few of you gazed upon the blue azure sky and melted into it's cobalt kind of magic realizing that just above the mist of the clouds there exists such iridescent splendor of infinity. You were reminded of what forever must look like, of your own infinite reach, and of the clear perfection of Life . . .thanks, because that palette of blue made your heart skip a beat, we all benefit.

The reward, as I stated, is a day off. On your day off from yourself, you get to let go of who and what you think you are, and you get to simple allow God, the universe, and your automatic functions to be. Ordinarily, when you take a day off, you take yourself with you, but not today. Just for today, you can let go of all of your conditions, past and present wants, desires, needs, regrets, duties, deadlines, and anticipations. You get to give yourself permission to simply live right now, and watch yourself doing it -- without judgment, without blame, without wishing it were different. Don't plan, anticipate, reason, rationalize, or retaliate; just allow yourself to be. Think you are up for such a treat?

Whatever happens during this day off, simply watch. Start the day by acknowledging and giving thanks for the presence, the power, and the love of God; then allow that Presence to run your universe any way it wants. Let it breathe your breath, beat your heart, walk your walk, and do or not do everything and nothing in the macro and the micro, without your judgments or permission. Desire nothing you do not have already. Put aside all guilt or regret for anything in your past. Along the way, be grateful for breathing and your other body functions, for whatever pleases your eye and ear, for the taste of food and beverages, for the fact that gravity holds your feet to the ground.

TREATMENT:
I choose this day to serve the highest and best within me. This is the great mystery, the Creator, sending out its song through my soul. I am willing to merge myself completely in the flow of divine light and love that I may be an instrument of the pure song of Creation. My heart becomes stronger, my pulse deeper and more rhythmic as it beats in unison to the drum of the One song ~ the Law of One.

I affirm the expanded consciousness of being Self-aware rather than self-centered. As I simply witness the Truth of who I really am I experience the beauty and power of the One love. Easily I renounce willful attitudes. Effortlessly I avoid and release willful behaviors. I surrender the idea of needing to have a positive self-image and replace it with the spiritual truth of infinite perfection. My essence is a divine realization that is Self-aware and Self-confident now and always. I celebrate the God/Goddess role ( insert name ) plays in this drama of life.

How beautiful it is to witness the wholeness of God for one day. How blessed I am to prove that this Presence is everywhere I am. I do not have to seek it because at my innermost core, I am already the pure consciousness of creation. This I know, this I AM. And so it is.

08.07.03 - Giving is Receiving

" Let God Do It", p. 25

" ...In the early days whent they brought water down into Rome they built long channels around the mountainside. This was done with terrific labor. And then there came a time whe someone discovered that water, by its own pressure, will reach its own level. They discovered that if they would connect a pipe with the high level they could run water down through the valley and up over other mountains and hills, and, provided they never tried to make the water go higher than its source, they could deliver it anywhere and in complete volume.

But there is something else we should remember about bringing water down from the high mountaintops. No matter how large the source, the flow to any particular spot is limited to the size of the pipe through which it flows. If it is a one-inch pipe we shall have a one-inch flow of water; if it is a ten-inch pipe we shall be able to deliver a ten-inch flow wherever we want to use it. But in no instance do we force the water down. We neither push it nor pull it nor draw it. It furnishes its own pressure.

But suppose some day we go out to open the headgate through which the water flows and no water comes. What do we do then? Do we sit down and bemoan our fate? Do we lament and beat our breast and say, ...."Perhaps God doesn't want us to have water today?" Or do we question whether or not the water is withholding itself from us? We do none of these things. We realize that somewhere the pipe is blocked, and so we follow it back and discover that sand has gotten into it, or mud and silt. We clean out the debris and at once the flow resumes.

...This is pretty much what happens in our lives when they are unhappy and incomplete - somewhere we have stopped the flow. The water is still up there in the mountains, the pipe is in place but somewhere something has gotten into this pipe that does not belong there...

Well, there is no use sitting around bemoaning our fate. It is time for us to do something about it. It is time for us to follow the pipeline of our own existence back to its Source, to find out what blocks it and to loose it, to free it, that the flow may resume. It is time to let God do it.

But before God can do it we must clear our minds of everything that hinders His doing; we must keep the pipeline open and let the Water of Life flow down into our living. ...If we find anything in our thinking that denies Life, let us clear it away. We can stop being afraid if we want to. We can stop having resentments. We can at once stop all unkindness, winnow out every doubt, and gain faith through the simple practice of learning to believe. Here is where faith and patience and the will to try and keep on trying must be used.

One can say to oneself every day, "I am a fountain of Life, and the living waters of God flow through me." One can say to oneself, "I will express joy today. I will be happy. I will bring gladness and enthusiasm into every experience of my life. I will maintain a quiet confidence and peace and a sense of serenity. And I will be glad for the achievement of others and rejoice in their success."...

But there is one thing that we must remember...This inlet [of the Divine] is forever established. We have to be certain that we are an outlet to it. And it is only as the other end of the pipe is kept open that the water flows.

This is why Jesue told us that we must forgive if we would be forgiven, we must love if we would be loved; we must make others happy if we would be happy ourselves; we must give if we would receive.

Sometimes we hug our little good too closely to ourselves, not being willing to cast it out on the four winds of heaven lest it will not return. But Jesus said the very act of giving will at the same time bring us to receiving - good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, he called it. It is the one who gives the most who gets the most. And so let us learn to draw the Divine Substance down into our lives, and as freely as It has been given to us, let us give It to others. Thus alone shall we be made whole."."

TREATMENT:
Today I awaken to the powerful knowing that there is only One Source, One Life, One Perfect Presence that is the source of all. It is present in all creation; it is absolute wisdom, and it is perfect love. It is my source, and I draw from it all that I need to live a noble and inspired life.

I know that this Universe operates by means of eternal and immutable spiritual laws, and that these laws produce my experience based on what I believe. I also know that the nature of this Universe is perfect Love, always available, always looking for an outlet, always flowing unimpeded through my mind, my heart, and my body. I open myself today to let this love flow mightily within me. I consciously open to let this love have its way with me, and I am transformed.

There's nothing in life that cannot be healed by a clear consciousness of this love. I let love point the way to the revelation of wholeness in every area of my living, and I give thanks for the power and presence that makes it so. And so it is.

08.08.03 - Family Matters

In my own life this week I have come to review and contemplate some the relationships that I participate in. I have been led to fold in on myself and truly evaluate all the motives for staying connected in some relationships. I am aware, as most of you, that there is always a payoff for participating in relationship. In some relationships I get to be the rescuer, in others the warrior, at times the peace maker. Living each of these parts allows me to feel different emotions, and different personalities. In each case, I have made a choice to see myself as these "characters" via the mirror of a relationship.

Think of how each relationship in your life allows you to experience a "greater" life. Have you sought the highest and best good for yourself in each relationship you have formed? Does your Soul dance with delight because you have made choices that resonate with the core of your being? Are there relationships that you feel your whole being may not have accepted? However we each approach the divine through relationships, it should lead to the experience happiness. If our choice(s) has not led to receiving whatever it is that we need in each moment then we are not serving the Spirit of us. Take a moment this morning to explore the total acceptance of at least one relationship you have; re-examine it to see if your subconscious is sending you a message that a part of you really does not want to be here.

TREATMENT:
The infinite intelligence that is the source and substance of this universe is everywhere present, and it is present within me. There's something in me that always knows what to do and how to accomplish it in the most graceful and effective way, and that something is right now activated; it informs me of the right decisions to make, even when I feel confused or unclear.

The infinite presence of Spirit is always ready to offer insight and understanding, ready to provide powerful opportunities to broaden my experience of understanding the universe in which I live. Spirit is never confused, it is never unclear, it is never unsure. In me, this Spirit now takes shape as confident, clear decision making, thoughtful and responsive choosing, and a joyous understanding that every choice, no matter what it looks like, leads me closer to the experience of my own divine nature.

I give thanks for this ability to open my mind and my intellect and my heart...all that I am!...to the clear, intuitive, spiritual genius within. I do so now, and am profoundly grateful for the wonderful choices and decisions that come from this inner activity. And so it is.

08.11.03 - Thought Manifests

The idea that what we think about becomes our reality is not a new concept. As you can surmise from the quote above teachers, prophets, guides, parents, etc. have brought this teaching round and round and round again. The secret is believing that your thoughts manifest in all areas of your life. And indeed, failure to apply this secret is why so many attempts at creating through visualization, affirmation, and even intending come to nothing. We all have a "issue/desire" that we are working with. This week I challenge each of you to become playful in manifesting your desired objective. When we are lighthearted the energy flows with an unbridled vitality. Engage your imagination in this playfulness. Let your divine personality design the very best, most outrageous outcome on your behalf. Often times when we were kids this is how we learned! We ran everything through our imagination and the process gifted us with a natural poise and power.

Now go back to today's quote. Forget the idea that anything - any other person, any problem, any situation or set of conditions is making you feel the way you feel! Own, even if only experimentally at first, that you feel the way you feel because you are choosing to, wittingly or unwittingly. Want to change anything? Then rekindle a sense of playfulness about the situation. Be playful with your family, your partner, your friends, your pets, your co-workers, the counter clerk at the cleaners or the fast food joint. You'll find you've stepped through a doorway into a reality of effortless fulfillment; stunning, natural efficiency; and fun.

TREATMENT:
I live in a universe that is by nature abundant; this universe is by nature loving, and it is by its very nature whole. I choose today to realize what's always been true: that I am One with this Universe, that I always have been one with it, and that I have access to all its good, whenever I open my mind to receive it. Today I awaken to my noble self, realizing that I am a powerful center of creative energy in this universe, a place where life is delighted to flow and flow with ease. I stop playing small, and realize that I can gift myself anything in the world, and I do it with joy and with the knowing and believing that as imagination flows through me, I align with creation, it's not of my own creation, but of Spirit. I receive each gift, whatever its form, freely. Whether it is presents from my children, offering my best in my work, loving my partner with all of my heart, or finding abundance, I do it with the full and complete understanding that Spirit and I playfully conduct this action through me.

I relax in the knowing that everything is just fine, that the power of Spirit is thought+full+ly flowing through me, that this universe is a safe and wonderful place to be. And my life blossoms in joy. And so it is.

08.12.03 - Living Embodiment

Beloved ones, in order to build, you must clean. You must destroy and you must move the obstacles of the past before creation can source its essence within you. In every moment we are deciding to either manifest harmoniously from within our being, or find a solution by being at war with that which we disagree with. Today I challenge you to have enthusiasm for everything that is around you. Realize that you can always return to the same place in your daily creating (which would be re-creating or replicating) or you can allow divinity to unfold itself from a place anchored within your heart. From the dimension of Soul, all creation can be unique and peacefull. It weaves understandings and wisdoms from a variety of perspectives, presenting your life as an infusion of Light from the One source. Living and creating from Soul allows you to view possible destruction around you as an opportunity for a new creation.

What is it you are wanting? If you could change anything about your life, anything, in the wink of an eye what would it be? Today's blessing is just an example of one of my "creations". The words come out as a result of the desire to purge what I have known, and to start anew. Many of you know humanity is entering a new spiritual gateway. Now is a marvelous time to open to new energy, wisdoms, and truths that you have not had the pleasure of embodying so far this lifetime. Whatever it is that you are working to create believe that you are given it unconditionally!

TREATMENT:
The inner light of Source that is held within all form comes forward to a conscious awakening on this sphere of life called Earth. I have always known this opening. I know how to live being the embodiment of Spirit's light and depth. As a full aspect of conscious creation, I join with the many universal voices to bring through the perfect energy work for these NOW times and to assist in the ascension journey of this planet.

The feminine codes of Source are being rekindled after a long retreat from within our presence. There is a profound beauty and power opening within universal consciousness and it is with great joy and honor that I offer my personal earthly vessel to receive this energy under the auspices of Oneness. Understanding that as I act as a translator of this returning pulse of energy, I anchor it here in consciousness at this exact juncture of time and space. The chambers of creation are transmuting and evolving in this bubble called Earth. It is my function as a sentient being to daily lift my vibration simply by being even more open to new possibilities. Moment to moment I choose to be fully present upon the Earth's surface, and daily cleanse and purge what no longer serves the grander purpose of togetherness on this new horizon. I look beyond what has been to meet new experiences that dissolve old belief structures and introduce humanity to a more refined embodiment of the universal love vibration - God.

It is in divine alignment and service that I remember the infinite expressions of Source. I appreciate this energy exchange with words - it is a network of blessings to greater good. And so my nature is. Amen.

08.13.03 - Spiraling Power of God

AFFIRM:
I am the spiraling powers of a God centered nature in human form, moving outward from its primary destination of power and knowledge.

I am forever anchored in this center of Truth even as the velocity of change comes quicker, faster, harder.

I rely on Spirit as my fabricated world swirls and reconfigures with intensity.

I remain conscious in the centerum of the figure eight becoming the balance of Living Spirit empowered today.

And so I approach all my affairs in adoration that I have the magnificent ability to overcome all chaos and to soar above adversity simply by celebrating the joy of what I truly am ...

a dancing, spiraling, power of God.

And so it is.

Many of you may know of beloved Gangaji, her organization recently sent out some quotes from the latest Los Angeles public meeting. I am moved to share some of her insights and advice with you. There are no words that can say it better ...

"I invite you to not get anything. You see what a relief it is already? Already there is an opening. I invite you to not remember anything, to not keep anything, to not use anything, to not accumulate anything, to not have anything when you walk out the door. How about not having anything right now?"

"And if you can truly hear that, then you have heard what I have to teach, because in the moment of not having anything, which is the moment of death, there is a revelation of who you are. And who you are doesn't need anything. Your body needs many things -- never enough things -- and it needs many other things kept away from it. Your thoughts, your circumstances, your hopes, your dreams, your plans, all need things."

"But who you are needs nothing, and you have the capacity as nothing to realize yourself fully. Not nothing as you would think nothing to be, something as useless. And not nothing as you would hope nothing to be, something that would be very useful. You could say, 'Well, I have nothing so now I am free.' Not that either."

"Then there is conversation that naturally takes place, whether words are involved or not. There is a transmission from mind to mind, from heart to heart, that naturally, effortlessly occurs. That is what we are here for."

TREATMENT:
There is one infinite spirit that is the source and cause of all things, and it is intimately interconnected with all of Life. It is intimately connected with me, for it is my source. Because this is so, it must be that all that I am is part of Spirit...pure, whole, and at one.

Nothing I can do or not do can distance me from my source; it resides within me, and I reside within it. I am permanently partnered with the infinite intelligent Giver and Knower, so that I may live a life filled with joyous creation and powerful loving. When the events and conditions in life become challenging, I remember this intimate connection and let it guide my choices, my actions, and my words. I let this perfect Spirit fill my own heart with its compassionate Self, and let love lead the way.

My life is a blessing, and I am a wonderful blessing to Life! And so it is.

08.15.03 - Family Matters

Today's message is excerpted from "The Pathwork of Self-Transformation" by Eva Pierrakos.

When people whose spiritual development is on different levels are involved with one another, it is always the more highly developed person who is responsible for the relationship. Specifically, that person is responsible for searching the depths of the interaction which create friction and disharmony between the parties.

The less developed person is not as capable of such a search, being still in a state of blaming the other and depending on the other's doing "right" in order to avoid unpleasantness or frustration. Also, the less developed person is always caught up in the fundamental error of duality. From the perspective any friction is seen on terms of "only one of us is right." When caught up in dualistic thinking, such a person, when noticing a defect in the other party, will automatically assume innocence, although in reality his or her own negative involvement may be infinitely more weighty than the other person's.

The spiritually more developed person is capable of realistic, non-dualistic perception. That person may see that one of the two may have a deeper problem. The more developed one will always be willing and able to search for his or her own involvement whenever he or she is negatively affected, no matter how blatantly at fault the other may be. A person of spiritual and emotional immaturity and crudeness will always put the bulk of the blame on the other. All this applies to any kind of relationship: mates, parents and children, friendships, or business contacts.

TREATMENT:
There is but One life, and that life is the life of the One Great Spirit, present in all things and all people. Not only is Spirit present in all beings, it is present in its fullness. This means that wherever I am, and whatever the conditions of my life at the present, I am full-filled with Spirit. There's nothing outside of myself that I really need; whatever I need is to be found within. I stop looking for fulfillment from outside sources, and seek it in the one place it is to be found: in my own heart and soul.

Every day, I open my consciousness to a more powerful, more joyous, and more immediate experience of the good that Life offers. By doing the work within me first, the outside stuff takes care of itself. I am ready to let go of the old way of experiencing relationships, and open to new paradigms with joy and with gratitude. I see the One Spirit in all beings, and give thanks for this new and constructive ground on which I live. And so it is.

08.18.03 - Action of Mind

We come to this planet to bring forth the very nature of God. We come here to realize our true essence and allow it to flow freely through us -- gracefully, unhindered, and unblocked. If God is indeed our very life, then we are here to bring forth the goodness of God. So how does God become the expression of your life?

Though the answer may sound easy -- by living in conscious awareness that our lives are God bursting forth upon the day!

The practice of truly living it can at times be the challenge. One of the ways, Religious Science attempts to bring through conscious awareness is by right use of Mind. We tap the power of our minds to construct a divine or spiritual consciousness that assumes itself as the mental, spiritual, and physical human life. Our gain in becoming more perfect mental (use of mind) beings is that we get to the possibility of a subtler, higher, and wider existence, consciousness, force, happiness and delight of Being. In proportion as we rise in the scale of mind, a greater power of these things comes to us: our mental consciousness acquires for itself at the same time more vision and power and more subtlety and expansion, and we are able to embrace more of the "Soul living in the physical" as our experience. To know this truth better, to use this truth better, to give it nobler values, a broader range, a more sublimated action. Ernest Holmes always professed that man is in his characteristic power of nature a mental being. Through his Science of Mind teachings he set forth the steps to harness the good greatness this mental emergence can bring. He employed the mind to develop the desires of life, to assert our true Selfhood and independence against the tyranny of life and matter. The mind liberated becomes the master of Inner as well as the sovereign ruler introducing into life a government, uplifted and refined, a finer balance and harmony. All spiritual and physical movements are directed and put into order, transformed by a God conscious mental agency. Using your mind and mental faculties to live as the conscious awareness of something bigger, something veiled in matter, will make you and instrument of divine reason and obedient to an enlightened will.

I'll leave you with this piece of "growth" this week. I hope all of you are loving your life. And I do mean really, really loving your life. Because right now, you are the awareness of God that has the power to heal the planet and save us all!

TREATMENT:
The Master of Wisdom cast down a principle of life which constantly seeks to confirm and perfect Itself in our physical and objective experience. I am the living self-conscious, self-realizing nature of this Principle. I join with the Herds of Light who bring a new character of evolution to this plane of experience. I give voice to the truth that we are ascending into a higher principle of Being that has yet evolved here.

Through the declaration of a mental intent there is found the pinnacle of Divinity that penetrates and envelops my physical domain with its invisible Presence. I consciously touch this inner beingness that governs all outer doingness. My mind is the gateway to transcendence. My thoughts, even now, are creating an upliftment, an empowerment that clarifies my understanding of pre-existent forces that press upon me to become realized in the physical. Every element in my world bears the stamp of another origin that supercedes this system of terrestrial law. I am the embodiment of a play and process of consciousness that has the authority and power to formulate the action of molecules. Through the use of mental intelligence I liberate my spiritual power, force and influence. This elevation in thought brings with it a widening and establishes a larger field of Life in which the grace of the new principle may have sufficient play and room for its emergence.

I am indebted to the voice of Father Light & Time that gently applies pressure to my heart center. It is this divine urging that pushes me to break into possibilities which in their unspiritualized condition could not be practical or imaginable. Upon this pedestal of mental integration I achieve greatness. And so it is. In the Allness of God, Amen.

TREATMENT:
The power of Spirit to awaken me to my own spiritual nature is at work in me even as I read these words; the Infinite Presence of Life is culminating in its latest wonderful evolution in me this very moment. I am part of the Infinite Universal Presence, created out of it, with all the wisdom and power and creativity it has. I've always got access to this creative power for transformation, and I let that power go to work in me this very day.

Knowing that Spirit is always at work in me in this way, I wake up to its workings and work with it. I daily set the intention to open my mind and heart to experience my own spiritual nature. I daily set the intention to receive the good that is here for me. Every day of my life, I choose to give the best I have to offer the world, and in every moment, I give thanks for the blessings that are everywhere around me.

I let myself grow and change, not holding onto the good from the past, and opening to the greater good that's blossoming in all people and things. I call it forth. And I am ready for this; there's nothing in me that resists this opening in any way. Any places of fear or confusion are now filled with clarity and courage. For this process of unfolding, of awakening, I give thanks. And so it is.

08.20.03 - Flowing God

AFFIRM:
As a drop of God's liquefied unrealized potential I come forth in fluidity and instantaneously move
forward to a place of comfortable expansion.

I flow past the hallway of shadows. I find the ability to lift myself from all events that cause distress, and move forward to a pure field of soul-filled energy.

Through a "gateway of no time and non-time" a cleansing deluge comes on all multi-dimensional levels. I am able to see beneath the waters of what was once hidden, as everything in my life is washed clean.

I am a new buoyancy of Light in the blue lagoon of creation. This is the new declaration that unfolds me this day!
And so my nature is. Amen.

08.21.03 - Surrender for Clarity

"It is possible for each of us to discover clarity regardless of past or present, or physical, emotional limitations, it is possible for everyone to awaken to the truth of who one is, and in that to be in love, to be at peace. And to be true to that, whether in action or non-action."

In times of fear, doubt, and uncertainty, the only thing that is steady is God. We can always count on the love that is all around us to take our fears and doubts away. The part we play in this senario is surrender: Let go and know that all things are working together for our highest and greatest good. Know intellectually that there is only one Power, one Mind, one Substance, and surrender to it without qualification. No doubt, surrender is one of the greatest challenges you'll face because there is no clear formula for it.

I know that when everything around us seems dark and cloudy, when things just don't seem to be going right, it can be particularly difficult to surrender to something that we cannot see, feel, taste, or touch. Every person is different ... and the feeling tone of surrender is unique to each of us. Just remember at such times, all you need do is become still and quiet and go within. Remain steadfast in your prayer work, and know that the Universe is for us and not against us. Know that you are being held and cradled just like a baby in its mother's arms. Know that the only thing that will happen when you finally let go all will be revealed, and whatever the appearance is at that moment, it will change.

So today, simply be willing to let go, surrender, and trust that the Power and Presence that created you knows how to handle anything and everything that is going on in your life.

Now take a deep breath, and let go!

TREAMENT:
The Infinite Intelligence that is the source and substance of this universe is everywhere present, and it is present within me. There's something in me that always knows what to do and how to accomplish it in the most graceful and effective way, and that something is right now activated; it informs me of the right decisions to make, even when I feel confused or unclear.

The infinite presence of Spirit is always ready to offer insight and understanding, ready to provide powerful opportunities to broaden my experience of understanding the universe in which I live. Spirit is never confused, it is never unclear, it is never unsure. In me, this Spirit now takes shape as confident, clear decision making, thoughtful and responsive choosing, and a joyous understanding that every choice, no matter what it looks like, leads me closer to the experience of my own divine nature.

I give thanks for this ability to open my mind and my intellect and my heart...all that I am!...to the clear, intuitive, spiritual genius within. I do so now, and am profoundly grateful for the wonderful choices and decisions that come from this inner activity. And so it is.

08.22.03 - Family Matters

Today's guest author is Oriah Mountain Dreamer and the excerpt is from "The Dance."

Making another wrong is a choice to put that person out of your heart. It's the kind of judgment that says to the self or the other, "You're a jerk, a piece of &#!*. There is something seriously and fundamentally wrong with you!"

There are ways to communicate these things, to make aspects of ourselves or the other wrong without ever uttering such crude words. Those of us who have done years of therapy and self-growth seminars know how to cloak the judgments that wound and separate with cleverly crafted "I" statements, avoiding accusatory "you" statements or blatantly vicious self-deprecation. But the judgment is still there in the tone of the voice, like a razor-sharp sword that sweeps low, cutting the other off at the knees while calmly looking her in the eyes. It is there in the way we hold our bodies, in the slight tilt of the head, in the narrowing of our eyes when we regard the other or look in the mirror. It is there in the way we spend ourselves on too much work that doesn't matter, in relationships where we are not cared for or seen. It says the same thing to the other or to the self: you are not enough.

In the morning I meditate and soften my breath and reach our to hold those who are suffering, to hold the frightened aspects of myself and the world in my heart. And then I head out into my day, praying I will remember the compassion I am, hoping I will be able to keep my heart open. Some days are better than others.

TREATMENT:
There's a power and a presence in this life that is always ready to reveal itself whenever I take the time to simply look. I begin right now by recognizing that this One power is everywhere present, in all things and in all people. I continue by realizing that this presence, which is perfect love, absolute peace of mind, and unlimited creative energy, is in me.

This day, I let this power and presence be revealed in my life not just by thought, but in my words and my actions as well. I take the time to see this unified field of potential and possibility in every moment, ready to spring into action at my acceptance of whatever it is the moment requires. Everything is possible to this power; nothing is beyond this presence, and I entrust it with all of my needs for living a wonderful and noble life. And because this power and presence is worthy of my trust, all that I need is given before I even ask.

I let my relationships deepen and reflect the beauty of life in every way. I give thanks for the many people who bless my experience, and I let my life be a blessing to all. And so it is.

08.25.03 - Immortality

I am often reminded how teaching provides insights and deeper understandings, and perhaps that is why I have such a passion for it. Last week one of my classes read the chapter on immortality from The Science of Mind text and we discussed its values and meanings during class. A valuable insight for me didn't occur until the next day (as it happens for many of us, I'm sure).

The information from the night before had digested and started to integrate... I understood that in Matter only an activity is manifest. We all look to the outside of things because that is all we know; for the indwelling consciousness that is IN the matter is secret and sublime. If we travel the path of spiritual truth we develop a consciousness that becomes partly awake. Something secret within us party manifests, but often times is still hedged and limited by a self-imposed restricted circle. Still we move towards opening -- experiencing flashes, illuminations and upsurgings from the secrecy within us which break the limits of the rigid circumference so that the circle widens. But these occasional visitations cannot enlarge us far beyond our present capacities. That can only be done if we can bring into it the higher undeveloped lights and powers potential in our being and get them normally into play; for this we must be able to draw freely from those ranges of our Being which are native but which at present are subconscious, or secret to us. In other words, we must align with our immortality! You must gain the perspective that you are spirit's timeless existence, that is true immortality. You are more than what appears in the bathroom mirror. It is essential to get the right focus in relation to your truest nature.

Temporal consciousness is intimately dependent upon the preoccupation of our mental faculties with our material plane and the life which it is presently acting. We all believe in immortality, all religions make that a vital point in their teachings, but how often do we actually live from that belief ? How many of us, truly, live consciously each day with a concrete sense of our perpetual Being (whoever you are now) in time and of our timeless existence? That was the insight - not many of us. So perhaps you would like to focus, like me, on aligning with a Self-knowledge that rises above an earthly identity. I know if I can look in the bathroom mirror and realize that I AM the activity that made "Angela" then I can possess and govern all I see from that inner eternity of being. What do you say? Let's all declare: " I am the dynamic condition with, as its practical outcome, a spiritual self-possession and self-mastery!"

To Divine Consciousness and Divine Life!

TREATMENT:
This day I heighten my consciousness to its original existence by ascending and stepping back inward to the spiritual principle of Oneness. There arises a knowledge effectuated by this movement of Divine cosmic nature. There has never been a separation from God in this corporal existence. Aligning with immortal consciousness reveals the truth -- there has always been only One Self in all existences. It is the Divine Inhabitant within the body of all beings. I AM its transcendence of Divine play in time.

As my consciousness changes into the height and depth and wideness of Spirit, I can withdrawal from my absorbing material preoccupation. Becoming immortal expands my range of consciousness and field of action in time, taking up a higher use of my mental, spiritual, and physical dimensionality. I live in the knowledge and feeling that my very substance of being is a spiritual entity possessed of a continuous Soul-filled perpetually developing its activities through successive physical existences, thus becoming a being determining its own becoming! I release all desires to live as a slave of blind karmic impulsion and awaken to the mastery of my own being and nature, subject only to the Divine within. All conditions in my life are a union with God, a unity with all beings, and a life governed and formed from within in which the source of all thought, will and action are the Spirit working through the truth of Divine Law.

I radiate a heart filled with gratitude as I walk into the world; a conscious face and figure of the One Universal Being. A self and a power of the transcendent Divine in earth instrumentation. And so it is.

08.26.03 - Forgiving

We can all be so hard on ourselves and others. Even though we are incredible bundles of energy plugged into this dynamic life force called God, we often forget that and operate on the level of human angst, beliefs, and (mis)perceptions. This leads us to take action based on fear, weakness, revenge, or just without thinking. Then when things don't go our way, we label them: good, bad, right, wrong. We get caught up in fear. We get mad. And we hold on to this madness by refusing to forgive.

Iyanla Vanzant writes, in Until Today, "When you believe that what you think and what you do is more powerful than what God knows and what God can do, it's time to forgive." Let us forgive, not because we are excusing what has been done or how it has affected us, but because it is a loving, healing expression of God's compassion in us. At minimum, let us be willing to forgive. Impossible? No. Even though we may have chosen to be just as defiant about releasing as we've been about holding on, as Anais Nin wrote: "The day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

Become still. Take several deep breaths and as you do, see your heart space opening up a little bit more with each breath. Feel your heart expand like a rose as it releases the form of the bud and slowly stretches to a full bloom, basking in the warmth of the sun. Let this be your true compassion and forgiveness coming forth. Remember, forgiveness is the scent the rose makes when it is stomped into the ground.

TREATMENT:
There is one life, that life is God's life, and that life is my life now. I know that I am part of this One infinite life, totally supported, totally embraced by it. All that I am is the form of Spirit, and Spirit sees me as the perfect beloved. I know that however I identify myself, Spirit sees me as whole, as complete, as absolutely wonderful!

I release any ideas of not being worthy of the best of the best. I let go of old habits of thought and self-talk that lessen my inner light and overlook my Divine nature. I re-identify myself with the One Perfect Life, and know that what I am is perfection unfolding, no matter what it looks like in the process.

I treat others with great respect and honor, knowing the dignity and courage it takes to live each human life. And I treat myself with the same respect and honor, acknowledging the courage it takes to live and live well. I give thanks for this ability to see myself and others with new eyes, and I revel in it. And so it is.

AFFIRM:

EMPOWERMENT WEDNESDAY!

As the Living energy of All That Is, I challenge the course today!

I blow through this humdrum cycle called Wednesday coming out the other side a little more learned -- quite a bit wiser, and in a way that serves every aspect of my God signature.

Yes, as I stay the course in a fashion and order that is comfortable to me I create New World Order. A world in which all choices are appropriate and correct for me. There will be no time or predicament that can't be turned into an advantage, no foe who can't become a friend, and no burden that cannot give me wings.

I have been trained well, and wear the cloak of God's Light so I cannot fail. I AM the very essence of God-self living as the champion ultimate expression in the world.
And so it is.

08.28.03 - The Circle of Life

TREATMENT:
The Universe is an infinite circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere. It is the One Source of all things, the creator of all being, and an infinite reservoir of power, peace, and understanding. I am totally at one with this presence, and was created out of it to live in harmony throughout my life.

I know that the universe travels in cycles; so do I. All things move through phases of growth, maturing, and dissolution, only to be recreated in their next best form. I let go of holding on to anything in my life, for I know that this cycle moves inexorably onward, carrying me and everything else with it.

I relax in the presence and power and peaceful serenity of Spirit, knowing that wherever I go, it is there. I give thanks for the power that's revealed by standing still and paying attention. I am profoundly grateful for the knowing that right where I am, harmony is in all its perfection. And I give thanks for my wonderful, rich, and love-filled life!
And so it is.

08.29.03 - Family Matters

Today we hear from Thomas Moore, author of Natural Religion, Discovering Spirituality Deep in Ordinary Life.

It becomes clearer every day that we live in a world cut off from the healing depths of its soul. The soul gives us character, individuality, connection, and humanity. But the soul flourishes only when we bring to it daily care, when we take time to be with others, to connect with nature, and to work at what matters. Many years ago something inspired me to use the ancient phrase "Care of the Soul" in place of therapy, cure, growth, or improvement, and as time goes on I see ever clearer the value of those words.

Spirituality has a dark side, a negative shadow that can be problematic and even dangerous. By discovering the spirituality deep in the sacred core of ordinary experience, spirituality can be enriched and grounded. A relationship with your own soul will help you find meaning, healing, love, and understanding without integrating anything. You can be a holy person without doing it right and most unconventional of all, deepening and intensifying love, desire, pleasure, and beauty without understanding any of it.

TREATMENT:
The universe is an absolute, sublime order that is always flowing into and out of form; revealing and concealing itself in perfect bliss. This universe is infinite, all intelligent, and completely empowered to accomplish whatever it sets out to accomplish. And what is true of me is that I am made of this stuff; created out of the infinite perfect presence of Spirit, out of this one pure and perfect order, always revealing and unfolding and discovering my preexistent, inherent self...which is perfect in every way.

I perceive the natural harmony in every moment. I experience the flow of my life with ease and delight, moving swiftly when the currents are swift, and drifting easily when it is drifting time! I don't get out of joint because things don't go as I expect; I go with the flow of harmonious creation, and let that creation create in me a sense of deep and abiding ease. I don't push the river, but let it lift me up and carry me forward. This universe is an easy place to live in and prosper in and love in and create in, and I go about my business believing this truth with all my heart and soul.

The natural, lawful result of this: my life works, and it works wonderfully! In care of my soul, something in me perceives the order and harmony within, and trusts in that so implicitly that nothing can discourage me.
