02.02.04 - Winter's Warmth

"Some of us . . . are darkness-lovers. We do not dislike the early and late daylight of June, whippoorwill's graytime, but we cherish the gradually increasing dark of November, which we wrap around ourselves in the prosperous warmth of the woodstove, oil, electric blanket, storm window, and insulation. We are partly tuber, partly bear. Inside our warmth we fold ourselves in the dark and its cold -- around us, outside us, safely away from us; we tuck ourselves up in the long sleep and comfort of cold's opposite, warming ourselves by the thought of cold, lighting ourselves by the darkness's idea."

** the message here is to not get triggered by those who appear lazier in the winter, perhaps they are exploring how the dormancy and difficulty of winter as can be a time of spiritual preparation and transformation.

TREATMENT:
There is an Infinite, Eternal Power always in action, creating greater and greater expressions of love for me. Because I am a manifestation of It, I possess all the knowledge necessary to create a gentle and quiet expansion during this winter season of Source's love.

New ideas and pieces of information present themselves as I listen to my own internal voice which is ever linked to the universal voice of absolute knowing. Past experiences have no hold on my current reality as I move from winter's inner development to the first stirrings of outer work. Just as the first small rays of Spring's sun slowly return to my world of form, I too move forward to bright new experiences that lovingly express the fullness of my unfolding desires. In this time of clear awareness I rest contented in the all wisdom power of my spiritual heart and I am at peace.

For this blessing I give thanks. I joyously bow before the purity of love knowing that the Promise and the Prophecy are within me. And so it is.

02.03.04 - Your Story

Within the biblical story of God at the beginning of Genesis, who generates life out of the void, whose creativity involves a whole series of acts of differentiation and the balancing of one thing against another -- light and darkness, earth and the waters, animals and humanity, female and male, rest and activity -- this God holds in tension within itself a range of creative and destructive energies. "God" is portrayed as holding within its being this plethora of energies and voices and selves, and agreeing to call all of them Elohim: God.

So we face a mystery. You look into the mirror of being and find a polymorphous God, Elohim. You look again and glimpse the One who is, Adonai. When Moses wishes to get to the heart of this mystery he asks to be told once and for all what to call the elusive presence he has just encountered. The response is an enigma: "I am what I am . . . I will be what I will be" (Exodus 3:14). "God" will not be pinned down.

And neither will we. The biblical story of a God wrestling with multiplicity and unity allows our own spirituality room to breathe. You are just another struggling human being, holding within yourself a confusion of creative and destructive energies. And you contain the spirit of God. And your story is being written every moment of your life.

TREATMENT:
God, Infinite Being, creates all there is from It's glimmering light. I am not a thing apart from this light for I am a creative expression of substance by means of Divine Law. A child of its completeness surging towards a oneness with all of life.

The veil of illusion lifts slowly and I feel the clarity of vision growing in me as I meet my truest nature; my true reason for being. The true Life in me prepares itself, strengthens itself for the moment I agree that it may overflow its bounds and gather to me the lessons which will empower me to channel the depth of its spiritual power. I resist nothing and am fulfilled in expansion as I contemplate living a profound, positive existence in the unfolding plan of Light. As Ernest wrote in The Science of Mind, "the real Self is God-given and cannot be denied. It is the place where God comes to a point of Individualized and Personified Expression". From this moment forward my God-endowed assets become my natural state of limitlessness.

I affirm this Truth, joyfully letting the Light of Adoni shine through me, wherever I am, whatever I am doing. I give thanks for the gifts which are bestowed by declaration of these words. And so it is.

02.04.04 - The Journey home

AFFIRM:
I pause to honor

That guides each living thing on its journey home.
That journey is my journey;
That home is my home;
And that wisdom is as alive in me
As it is in the highest of beings.
As I grow in spiritual maturity
I see this wisdom is always available
To the extent that I have prepared myself
To receive it.

02.05.04 - Garments of the Soul

Hasidi Tales: Annotated & Explained by Rabbi Rami Shapiro.

There are three Garments of the Soul, three ways in which the Divine enters into the world: thought, word, and deed. We are born with all three, but over time they become soiled and need refining. We refine thought through study, prayer, and contemplation. We refine words through right speech, taking care to use words that heal and not harm. We refine deeds through acts of loving kindness. This is what Simcha Bunem, one of the Hasidic rebbes, knew instinctively, and what he sought to demonstrate to the learned rabbis who came to visit his father.

So often we are captivated by the magic and mystery of spiritual attainment. We imagine that spirituality leads beyond this world of ordinary doing to a pristine land where everything material is spiritualized. In this imagined world thought and words take precedence over deeds, and we begin to discount doing even in the everyday world. This is a major failure in spiritual maturity. The world to Come is this very world free from illusion of separate selves and the inherent selfishness such and illusion perpetuates. Thought, word, and deed are not three separate Garments, but one Garment with many layers. Thought leads to words, and words lead to deeds. If the thoughts are tainted with selfishness the deeds will be poisoned with greed. But the way to cleanse the thought is not to think, for that is simply more of the same. To cleanse the inner layer you must begin with the outer. You will know God by doing godly.

TREATMENT:
The Absolute Oneness of God is all there is and I recognize this Oneness as Life. I know we are the intention of Good manifesting in the universe. We are the Beauty that erupts from the eternal stillness Itself. Children of perfect Love, Power, and Intelligence.

Acknowledging that intention determines the nature of the essence of everything we observe how Nature - God - works and we begin to work in like manner. Never considering any task complete until we have carried the experience to some final outcome of Beauty, whether material, spiritual, intellectual, or emotional. Having been born in the womb of harmony in the Universe we can only demonstrate the Beauty of Infinite's completeness. Just as we are beautiful because we perfectly express original thought, all that we are kindly expresses the same. The nature of a holy Spirit in continual pulsation affirming the Whole. We are the bridge of Light in creation. We are the great principles of Beauty from the All-Spirit developing lives of Living Power now and forever.

Being thankful for this gift of truth, and with the Power of Spirit I release these words upwards to the heavens, and the Infinite Mind, knowing it is done to us as we believe. Joyously thanking God, and so it is.

02.06.04 - First Cause of Every Thought

As we journey into the second lunar cycle of the year may you find yourself living from your deepest hear. Since the year is asking us as planetary citizens to think beyond our own "unwise selfish" and toward "wise selfish" it is a good time to take a moment and ask, "How do I know when I am living directly and immediately from the heart?"

A metaphysical approach to this is that the consistent thoughts that we are at home with reveal our heart's priorities. By deliberately pausing throughout your day and witnessing that around which your thoughts revolve is how you may observe the quality and depth of your heart-consciousness. Intensify your focus and look at how and where you feel most authentic. Are you in judgment or compassion? In your ego or in recognition of That which doeth the works in you,
as and through you? Grasping and wanting, or surrendering and being non-attached? Keeping yourself entertained or living a the fulfilled life as a balanced leader?

Wise are those who examine the content of what's passing through their awareness to discover those subtle, subliminal holdings of which we would otherwise be unaware. Spiritual practice is not for the purpose of avoiding or bypassing an honest ownership of what occupies your consciousness and instructs your heart's response to life and its experiences. The world needs individuals who are willing to be honest and be dedicated to stepping into the qualities of the heart. This February be willing to invest in yourself wisely -- listen with an inner ear and actively express your sense of genuine character.

May your heart be so spacious that Life itself may find shelter within it and
be the First Cause of your every thought, word and action!

TREATMENT:
The Power that created me is always perfectly pleased with me, and that is enough. My only quest is to live life from the heart's directive and be pleased with myself. Anyone else's opinion of me is none of my business.

Being pleased with myself does not mean I look perfect to the outer world. It does mean that I always behave to the best of my spiritual understanding. If I want to create something better in my life, I simply improve my level of understanding of how life works, then act on my new and greater awareness. I possess a quiet strength and replenishment of authentic Spirit for the investment of attention to Self. I recognize the miracle of everyday heart-open living, and explore trusting the Intelligence that created and sustains this miracle constantly.

I take note of whatever I've been living and resolve to allow the artistry of Creation to come to me. I trade desire for the feeling of desire fulfilled, and open my hands not to get, but to give thanks. Reverently I follow my heart and mind to find my greater good always. And so it is.

02.09.04 - Being Yourself

In life... you cannot EVER be...
less than you really are...
BUT YOU CAN THINK...
that you're less...
than you really are.
DON'T.

Life is not about hiding and seeking, nor is it about learning the things you‚ve forgotten - no, it‚s not even about remembering them.
It‚s about BEING! BEING YOURSELF! You were Born to Expand the Infinite Nature of God.

Live only to be who you now are. You are Creation‚s first and last hope to fill the shoes you alone can fashion, and eternity will pass before this chance will come again. You are the dream of a legion before you who have passed on the torch of Space-Time awareness so that your mere existence could immeasurably enrich All That Is, God. By simply BEING, you will fulfill this dream, centered in the Here and Now where all dreams come true, all truths reside, and understanding is born.

Your sacred heart was hewn at the dawn of creation in a dance to celebrate the birth of forever. You can do no wrong. There are no „shoulds‰ or „shouldn‚ts‰; „rights‰ or „wrongs‰. Life is not about being happy, sad, good or bad. It‚s not even about making your dreams come true, that much is inevitable.

There is only BEING. Eternal BEING. Inescapable BEING. You are perfect, It is done. Your rare and precious light, has, and will forever more, illuminate the worlds you create... the worlds that now wait... for your blessed BEING.

TREATMENT:
I am made from it. Everything that I am - what I accept and appreciate, and what I do not - is this perfect Self in one of its infinite differentiations. Simply, all that I am, is god. And god being infinite, I touch the infinite. I am connected to it.

Today, I draw from this Infinite Source, and rely on it for every thing. Because it is all wisdom, the answers I need are within it. Because it is health, I rely upon it for the healing and vitalizing of my body. Because it is richly abundant, I rely upon it for my daily needs. Because its nature is love, I recognize that my loving is its loving, and the love I receive is its love for me. Because it is unending creativity, my mind is continually inspired by its genius.

This universe is indeed the ultimate in compassion, for it has given me the ability to choose - to live my life in the same old way, or to awaken to the deeper truth of what is going on around and within me, all the time. Today, I wake up and choose to live from the highest point of view. The natural consequence of this is a life where I don't have to follow my bliss...my bliss finds me.

Thank God for this wonderful, lawful, creative universe, and the absolute freedom I have to make a beautiful life! And so it is.

02.10.04 - Mental Yoga

What is the difference between your experience of existence and that of a saint?
The saint is now continually tripping over joy and bursting out in laughter, and saying, " I surrender!" Whereas, my dear, I am afraid you still think you have a thousand serious moves.

In spiritual growth circles, it‚s easy to get caught up in levels and stages. Practicing spiritual principles, meditation or anything that we do, though, is not just about „getting somewhere.‰ It is actually about mental flexibility. Recently, I realized that spiritual mind treatment is a lot like a spiritual version of a yoga pose. With treatment, we take a mental pose in the midst of a situation and explore how we are operating in the world.

I call this process „spiritual yoga.‰ Take a mental pose. It could be spiritual mind treatment, affirmations, visioning, forgiveness, gratitude, or whatever pose occurs to you at the moment. Explore this pose. How flexible are you in this pose? How stiff? How rigid or balanced? Where is your point of support? Where is your point of imbalance? What parts of you are you using most? What parts are you using least? Can you breathe into this pose? Do you need to relax out of this pose? Or do you need to completely release?

And the goal? No goal -˜ just awareness. If we get somewhere, great; but that in itself is not the whole of the gift. The complete gift is the process. And adjunctively, the gift is enhanced by a renewed sense of flexibility and strength -˜ mental flexibility and strength.

So the next time you get caught up in trying to complete a stage or to get to a new level, just remember: life is your yoga studio. All you have in front of you is the pose, the mental pose. Just check in with yourself and be with whatever arises. Expand your awareness to "what is" and have fun exploring and taking different poses. And, in the end, all you need to do is breathe through it and right into it.

As you live within your pose, your potential shows up to say "Hello"!

TREATMENT:
At the core of my being lies Eternal Spirit. I am posed in a field of Infinite Possibility. Universal Wisdom guides me, and my expression is unlimited as I become filled with its light.

Today, I humbly honor the doer in me that makes my world revolve as I listen to the voice within. The familiar tone that is at the center of my Self. Before I speak, act, or choose, I listen. I hear the procession of my highest Self descending into every moment and I make ready to surrender. I have the courage to follow the cascading wisdom from this secret place of the most high. I trust my emotions and honor all messages they bring. I listen to my body as it conveys what it needs. I allow the greatest vision for my life come forth from deep within myself. Its richness brings peace to my soul.

It is with a thankful, blissful heart that I release my word to the Law of the Universe. The seed is now planted Divine Mind and nourished by my consciousness. It is done, and I am blessed! And so it is.

02.12.04 - Trust the Letting Go

"LET IT BE"

These words are found in Genesis. They are not some magical syllables that God waved through the Universe. They are a key to using the Law of Cause and Effect successfully. "Let there be ..." reveals a state of mind, an attitude we can adopt as we participate in the natural process of resolving issues in our lives. These words serve as a reminder not to force an issue, but to realize that Law responds to us naturally as we provide It with the consciousness we are seeking. Students often have a hard time letting go and trusting in their own consciousness. What they don't realize is that they are always trusting, it just hasn't occured to them that they are trusting their fears and doubts.

We may trust what we call "God," "Higher Power," "life," etc. Or we may trust our reason, our misgivings, our worst expectations. Once we recognize that we're always in a state of trusting something, we may find it easier to shift from trusting something we don't want to trusting something we do. Always initiate constructive action by thinking constructively, and then let it be. Release all struggle tied to what you desire to manifest. This trusting brings us the relief, peace, and efficency of an aligned consciousness with the Natural flow of a Creative Process that has been responding to your consciousness all along. And this aligned consciusness is a real Presence and Power in the world.

TREATMENT:
I recognize this Truth: there is only God; there will always be only God. God, individualized, is what I am and will always be. I know myself as an eternal being of Divine Light.

Everywhere I look, I see evidence of this Truth. In my heart, I feel it and know it is so. I turn my attention from misleading intentions and mistaken circumstances in objective reality and focus on the Truth of God's infinite love, health, self-expression, and prosperity. What is true of God is true of me. I focus on God's givingness and know as I give love, I am love; as I am health minded, I am healthy; as I give of my God Self, I receive the highest and best.

God is the fulfillment of every desire so I graciously and joyously release this prayer and let it be. Truly, I am the Plan unfolding in each act and thought that I create. And so it is.

02.13.04 - What is Love

What would it be like to see love face to face? I had a friend who loved everyone. It didn't matter how famous or successful you were; your shape, color, age, credentials or how you dressed made no difference to him. "You" as a personality were irrelevant˜she simply loved. God's love expressed through her unbounded and unrestricted. It was glorious and most empowering to be with her.

When we think of love do we imagine words that define it, or do we consistently feel God's love surfacing as a celebration of what we live? The Truth is that GodLove is the only real love there is. I Corinthians chapter 13 gives us a description of love. It begins with two qualities referring to what love is, followed by a long list of what love is not. I‚ve often wondered why God chose to emphasize the negatives in the description. There is a reason -- God knows us more fully than we can ever hope to know ourselves. He understands our weaknesses beyond our ability to even recognize all of them˜or how often we allow them to prevail. The good news is that GodLove is infinite, in endless supply, and we have the power and the choice to fully express love or to limit its flow through us. As I read through each admonishment regarding what love is not, I see my weaknesses bubble to the surface ∑love does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs∑ (I Cor. 13:4, 5)

I‚m guilty of each of these antonyms of love. At one time or another, I‚ve allowed my weaknesses to overcome God‚s directive to love. But there is beauty in falling short. It‚s a constant reminder that God is forever all-encompassing, all pervading, propelling Itself forward from the very center of our beings. And that my only charge is to allow my heart to open wide its portals so that Divine Love from on high can pour Itself forth through my very being, touching all those around me, uplifting, transforming and bringing a very exquisite experience of what it is like to live in the Infinite Heart of God.

Marianne Williamson in her book A Return to Love reminds us that "We are children of God and were created in a blinding flash of creativity when God extended Himself in love." God selected one name that would be appropriate for all His children∑BELOVED. So, if on Valentine's Day you feel a twinge of aloneness, remember that you always have been, are now and will always eternally remain God's BELOVED.

TREATMENT:
Today I begin by giving thanks for the potent and powerful gift that is my life. I know that my Source is none other than the infinite wellspring of Being, Spirit itself, and that wherever I go, I am supported by this loving and giving Source. I know that Spirit is always supporting me in every way possible, and particularly in the ways in which I most need support at any given moment.

I awaken today to the many blessings that are in my life - the evidence of the Beloved's tender care for me and of me. I notice all the conveniences that make my life easier...all the people that make it so rich and wonderful...all the inner experiences I have that help me to awaken to the eternal and timeless truth: God and I are One!

I give thanks for my life, and for this loving universe in which it takes place, of which I am an integral part. I know that I am a blessing, and that every life I touch is blessed. And so it is.

02.16.04 - Oh Yes!

In our Science of Mind studies we are reminded over and over again of the power of the "yes factor". The word "yes" is like a mirror of the universe. The way it works is that all of our thoughts and beliefs are brought into our experience, because the universe always says "yes" to them. No matter what the real truth of the matter may be, the universe will always reflect back a "yes," just like a mirror. Our personal consciousness operates behind the scenes to produce factual events that the universe verifies for us. If you desire to be loved and yet hold your focus on the void of that love then the universe can never deliver that experience to you. It's impossible. The power of the universe to affect change on your behalf starts from within your own mind. In ordinary language, you must have faith in the truth and reality of what is wanted rather than what is not wanted.

The moment you adopt that stance of faith conditions will begin to change. My prayer for all of us this day is to have more dominion over our thoughts and to not embrace other's beliefs, thoughts, and opinions. Our entire focus is on shifting one's identity and not on changing conditions in the world because we realize the power of the "yes factor". The universe wholeheartedly agrees with our innermost private thoughts. It is no respecter of person. That is why certain things happen for certain people and not for others.

I invite you to say "yes" to the truth of who you are, and to all the desires of your heart. For it is the pleasure of the universe to say "yes" back to you in each moment. Students who find this beautiful, inner agreement with the universe and rest in it don't wait long for their choices to take form. So this week actively practice being in communion with the idea of the "yes factor" and be so immersed in fulfillment that we forget about everything else, even creating.

I claim and say "yes" to all good this day!

TREATMENT:
A new conviction arises as I awake this blessed day. It is the knowing that there is something in the universe which responds and corresponds to my mental states. I live and breath the active consciousness of the One Life of God and so I recognize that I am forever the beating of an eternal spirit that has assembled Itself into the form known as (insert your name).

Of the numerous paradoxes in my world, creating what I desire is not one of them. I confidently and wholeheartedly rest in the embodiment of the desired vision of Self. In a Universe where reality can shift in this very moment, it takes great courage to remain disheartened. I know that no matter how complex, longstanding, or resistant a problem may appear -- all that is needed to find its solution is permission within my own mind. The universe stands at my side repeating, "Please, may I do something for you?" So today I invite a conscious awareness of my thoughts and mental states to develop and gesture to me gently when I have chosen those experiences that are not beneficial or in alignment with my highest vision of living. I skillfully use my mind as a mirror for the universe to detail any and all situations on a different and better reality track.

There is an oasis of faith in my heart and I now stand in these holy waters immersed with the solidarity with a newly chosen identity of Self. Years of unfulfillment vanish this instant because I choose to have faith in what pleases me rather than in what worries me. I say "yes" and remain open to happy surprises today. And so it is.

02.17.04 - But

THE MOMENT THE "BUT" IS STATED, YOU HAVE STEPPED OUT OF SOUL!

TREATMENT:
The One Divine Life is ever creating more out of Its unlimited potential for good. Its magnificent expression is limitless possibility and abundance. I am just one of its desires unfolding from the heart of creation. I am one with a point of reference in the Divine Mind that knows no limitations. The perspective of the One thinker that just becomes the thought of unlimited possibilities.

This moment in eternal mind that is being created with words through the letters on this page is absolutely being fulfilled here and now. I honor and know that heart-based intentions are the framework for manifesting the desire at hand so I pause and magnetize the power of universal Presence into being through breath and thought. In this and in every moment I realize the merging of cause and effect that leads to positive, life-enriching experiences. I actively replace the word/concept of "but" with "and," for I am infinite. And in this unforgettable moment of thinking it allows me to transform into clarity, wisdom, and courage bringing greater good to myself and to everyone in my life.

Holding more soul in my human perspective I graciously send thanks to the heavens for bringing me to a frame of reference that goes beyond that to which I am accustomed. I see my new thoughts ascend and take root in the Law of Good where they bear fruit. And so it is.

02.18.04 - YeeHaaaa Wednesday

AFFIRM:
My life is lived in conscious contact with the Divine!
Everything I think, say and do reveals the divinity within me!
Today is a brand new adventure framed by the illusion of another day!
Infinite supply visions itself as, and through me!
The vitalizing energy of spirit renews and restores my body temple!
Appreciation and gratitude are my way of life.

How grand to have an In-The-Body experience!

02.19.04 - Interior Illumination

There is no better way to bring one to a knowledge of himself than to lead him to a knowledge of the powers that are lying dormant within his own soul.

In order to uphold the highest wisdom we must have absolute confidence in the Divine guiding us. We must have an intimacy with the Infinite Source itself. Thus when we can go directly to the inner channels of intelligence and wisdom we are no longer slaves to personalities, institutions, media or books. We should always be open to suggestions of truth but there is no greater guide than your own interior illumination. Browning recognized that the "Truth is within ourselves; it takes no rise from outward things, whate'er you may believe. There is an inmost centre in us all, where truth abides in fullness." In other words, our only allegiance is to the voice of our own soul. This is the interior guide. This is the light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world. This is the voice of the higher self, the voice of soul, the voice of God.

If we will but follow this voice of intuition, it will speak clearly and plainly, until by and by it will be absolute and unerring in its guidance. When we recognize that we are the individualized power of Infinite Spirit back of all and that nothing outside of this has any power at all then we enter upon the road to true education, and all the mysteries that before were closed now reveal themselves. This evolving from within, this evolving of what has been involved with the Infinite Power brings wisdom.

Today let your practice be to only listen to yourself. Endeavor to bring yourself to a true knowledge of your interior powers.

TREATMENT:
There is a Divine sequence running throughout the Universe. A self-existent principle of life from which all else has come. The Spirit of this Infinite Life and Power are then my life by nature of divine inflow. I am the illustration of God itself creating, working, and ruling through the agency of a human life.

From what has gone before I know that in just the degree that we come into a conscious realization of our oneness with the Infinite Life, and open ourselves to this divine inflow, do we actualize in ourselves its qualities, means, and powers. As I connect with this Source, I am nurtured and inspired, relaxed and happy. I revel in the demonstration that I possess the spiritual magnificence of the Great One in each and every moment. I affirm to my own inner illumination of this authority by claiming and using it as a guide in my personal life. I know that as I explore every one of its ideas greater abundance and enjoyment show up in my world.

I stand fully in awe of being God's idea in human form, containing everything I need to live life fulfilled. I welcome freedom in Spirit and go forth being the Divine Self only I can be. And so it is.

02.20.04 - Make Each Day Count

I love the paradoxical nature of the human being. I meet with a woman yesterday who asked, as many of us do, "When am I going to find the path that I've been shown I'm suppose to be on? I'm tired of waiting for it. I get glimpses of it, but it never truly manifests itself." If I have had to come up with this answer once, I have had to come up with it a hundred times. Let me explain it once more for we have all wondered from time to time about our rightful, highest expression.

First of all, you wouldn't be sitting with me for guidance, or reading these words each day, if you weren't walking a portion of that path right now! Did you ever think of that? You might say, "Reverend Angela, you don't understand I have a job I don't like. I don't have much money in the bank, and I'm standing around waiting for something good to happen. You're telling me that this is it?" No, I'm telling you that there's more here than meets your understanding about "path." Why are you really here on Earth? Didn't you come to do some work?

Are you walking in a dark place? Is there stress, or even perhaps strife where you are? As Kryon asks : How many lighthouses have you seen on calm, serene bays lately? "None," you say? Whys is that? Is it perhaps because they're needed specifically in places that are challenging for others to navigate? Yes!

Maybe you're the only one at work with a light! The frustration about your path is due to misunderstanding. Maybe it's time you found joy where you work. If you can find joy where you are, self-worth will begin to develop and fear will go away. Abundance then starts to flow in and cocreation begins to work. It's about the attitude of the path you're on, not the one you wish you were on.

Today is your last day, your first day, your only day -- what are you going to do with it? Make each day count. You've heard this before yet these are spiritual truths that often sound trite, don't they? And that is because they are real! When you create peace with what you have, then you begin to manifest motion and change in your life. You're not stuck in a bad job, instead you are simply "working it" for awhile to enhance the lives of others around you and the job itself. Be aware that sometimes the "bad job" becomes a miracle!

What if the energy instantly changed around your work situation? Would you still want out? What if your peace and satisfaction with something formerly intolerable got the attention of someone who needs to engage a peaceful person in a better surrounding? Do you understand how when you change energy, it actually brings about cocreation of something else? Things aren't always what they seem. We are always forming perceptions of what's bad or good by our fears or attitudes within our own realities. But again the truth is, everything that is before you has been sanctioned by you and created by you. It often lies there, begging you to work with it.

So however cool you think it might be to find the path that you were meant to live, let me tell you it will never be as cool as the assignment you have set up for yourself this very day. Trust me, you love yourself beyond your wildest imagination and you would never put yourself in a place, or on a path that isn't considered the most sacred of sacreds.

TREATMENT:
Indeed God is the One infinite spirit which fills all the universe with Himself alone, so that all is from Him and in Him, and there is nothing that is outside. It is within this One presence that I live, move and have my being. In this light then I see myself and all others in the context of One Divine Reality.

Saturated with Divine Life, I am guided daily in balance and bliss. The ceremony of this day blesses me in God's perfection. I stand in freedom and empowerment of my spiritual connection. The world is new for me each moment. I look at everything in my path as fresh, radiant, and sparkling. The reservoir of my authentic God self, which is without limits, sets about the joy of transcending my visions of what I think life is supposed to look like. I know it is possible for this higher power to play, to work, to manifest through me now!

A lifetime of newness is my gift from the Infinite today, and I accept it with gratitude. In the perfect center of my being, I honor, celebrate, and rejoice. Love is the fulfillment of the Law, and I am of Its glorious expression as I release my word and receive the bounty of a generous and giving God. And so it is.

02.23.04 - Change is an Event

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes to us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."

Life is a process of unfoldment. It is a journey from wherever you were to where you are now, and further, it is a journey from where you are to where you want to be. This creative process of life is what we call "change." Change is just the natural Law of Mind in Action, and therefore we can with our mind, or our thoughts, guide that change.

Change is never a random event; it is the logical unfoldment of an intelligent Law that is impersonal. Nor is change negative or positive, it is simply change. As Shakespeare says, "There's nothing either good nor bad but thinking makes it so." If we decide positively on where we are going and head there, we will find what we are seeking.

Ernest Holmes taught the following: "There is a law of unfoldment in man, which says he can advance only by going from where he is to the place where he would like to be . . . As man unfolds in his mentality (the thinking/reasoning process), the Law automatically reacts to him (cause and effect). The way to work is to begin right where we are and, through constantly applying ourselves to the Truth, we gradually increase in wisdom and understanding, for in this way alone will good results be obtained. If day by day we have a greater understanding and a clearer concept, if daily we are realizing more of Truth and applying It in our actions, then we are on the right path and eventually we shall be made free. It is a wonderful experiment and a great adventure to make conscious use of the Law; to feel that we can plant an idea in Mind and see it gradually take form." The Law of Unfoldment is Process and has created for you the exact measurement of what you think you rightly deserve today. Thus, the motto of Science of Mind, "change your thinking, change your life".

Decide on where you are going because decision is a covenant with the creative forces.

TREATMENT:
From where I stand there is only One Divine Power I call Spirit. It is that which creates, orchestrates, directs, sustains, and manifests all life. It is that which was destined to be me.

In this time and this place and essence of earth, I knowingly rely on the Law for all there is. As I dwell in beautiful thoughts, right now, I expect a perfect today. I see and feel this perfection as I sit in the hallway of my heart and realize it is shaping Divine Energy through me and into today's experience! The Law responds to my feelings and beliefs with perfect right action always. With my daily thoughts as my building blocks, my life continues to open into a wonderful reality. As a spiritual being, I live my life fearlessly knowing whatever comes my way is the clear expression of the god within.

I have the energetic potential to manifest all that I believe. I trust the Law of Divine Mind to know what to do and how to do it once I have deposited my intention. I give thanks for my connection to this loving creative energy and release my word to the universal field of possibilities. And so it is.

02.24.04 - I Find Peace

Like Jesus, I love to pray in lonely places. One is in the park here at the ocean's edge, under the boughs of loblolly pines with the smell of salt in the air. I often meet with nature during these times of reflection and meditation. Never knowing what creature will cross your path. A turtle, a snake, or perhaps just a hurried squirrel. I'm certain Saint Francis is back there too, watching and protecting just out of sight.

In the meandering procession down the paths I have seen a native myrtle tree grow tall and an oak get so thick with shiny leaves that wrens, sparrows, mockingbirds and woodpeckers can all hide at once in its branches. Watching these trees extend their beauty has helped me grow into my own. I also watch bugs, clouds, and butterflies. These are the times I can remember to stay "open at the top" like Ernest, like Saint Francis, too. The bounty of nature has shown me how to remain open to new ways in which to bring peace and harmony to my life. This is because I am open to divine ideas and in honoring nature, somehow, in the generous interplay of spirits, I honor me.

TREATMENT:
There is only One life - that life is God's life. It is the primary energy of the Universe. It is the holy place of reverence for all living things and it flows through me, making me its pattern of God's grace in the circle of life. The beauty of this great planet is glorious, and I am blessed to be part of such a magnificent world.

God implants every beloved human being with a desire for love, peace, and unity. These are the treasures of Self that now come forth and blooms into fullness of being for every soul. I am at peace when I acknowledge and nurture my oneness with everything and everyone. I develop peace in my heart, and it radiates out to the world as love, compassion, and harmony.

I know love and harmony with all. My inner peace ripples out to affect all others throughout the world; at a result, there is a new teaching of peace that blankets the Earth. With a heart filled with gratitude and thanksgiving, I now release my word to see this empowerment realized. And so it is.

A vision for right living inspires my life!
Highly charged thoughts of power and energy transform my daily living!
I am formed and funded by the creative genius of this universe!
Peace is the music of my soul!

02.26.04 - A Lent Sacrifice

Lent is the period between Ash Wednesday (yesterday) and Easter when devout Christians commemorate the 40 days that Christ allegedly spent resisting the devil's temptations in the wilderness. Growing up Catholic, I was taught to imitate Jesus every year at this time by giving up something I had a strong attachment to. My usual choice was candy. It so happens that the coming weeks could be used as a positive experience for all of us. I am going to suggest that you renounce three experiences that you've become a bit addicted to. Those experiences that are berating, that deny you pleasure, that hurt when you give in to them. I urge you to give them all up between now and April 10th.

Begin admiring yourself; the universe always has!

TREATMENT:
There is but One perfect Life, the Infinite Cosmic Consciousness which we call God. I recognize this Life which is around and through me as my life now. I am animated by pure Spirit. I am an individualized entity, complete and whole in Spirit; and as I become more and more aware of this truth, I free myself from all anxieties and habits.

In the Father's house everything is found, there is never the denial of eternal expression. I forgive myself as others forgive me for any blame or judgments about Self. To strangle the very essence of Spirit as me with misunderstandings of why something has happened or should have happened is to lead the Self towards feeling lost. The truth is every heart rests on the eternal foundation of the Father's mansion. I take the next few weeks and lay aside the heavy garment of beliefs that do not serve the reality I desire. All darkness, all fear, all subconscious suffering is now transmuted by the only Power that can sustain and protect my every movement. Consciously and unconsciously I let ideas of abundance, health, and well-being abide in me and have faith that they are mine now.

I lift my eyes unto thee, O Father, and thankfully realize my oneness with Thee, my oneness with thy Wisdom, thy Love, thy Truth ~ and my soul is filled with peace. And so it is.

02.27.04 - The Shell of Form

There‚s a dream in you that is waiting to be born. You have a unique way of loving, of giving, of comforting others that the world around you desperately needs. There‚s a talent, a style, a promise that is etched into the deepest part of your soul, and is coming forth right now in a way you could never have imagined.

Our tendency is to create comfort zones around ourselves. We surround ourselves with people who agree with us, spend our time in familiar places, and even think along the same general lines as we did yesterday, last week, last year. We find a spiritual path that feels right, and we may get stuck in the aspect of the teaching that feels comfortable to us, until even our prayers may become the same day after day.

But, what I know of Spirit is that It is the energy of constant surprise, an ever-new Joy taking each being on a cosmic journey into realms yet unimagined- even right here on our Earth walk. You and I are so much more loving than we thought possible, so much more creative, and so much more positive. We can choose today to open our hearts to be an even greater channel for God‚s love to flow through! Why not? It‚s our destiny.

Each of us chose to incarnate, to take form here and now. The success of the human experiment will only be achieved by souls who venture to live out of the box, to be outrageous in their commitment to love, justice, generosity and beauty.
Join me today in stretching into your greatest potential. Lean into Spirit and She will pull you more into your Self. Let‚s pray to love more, to give more, to learn how to live sustain-ably and joyfully. Let‚s play our sacred part in the re-creating of our world infused with Love.

TREATMENT:
There is only One recurring holiness of all time, it is the binding core of each living essence and it is called by the name YHWH. I am but a single reinterpretation and reflection of this source. I am its heart that understands, its ears that hear, and its eyes that see in this present moment of sacred narrative.

As I journey through each of my holy days I marvel at the complexities of the human condition. I am compelled to explore the legend of Spirit that has formed my texture and content. I lovingly refashion the divinity polishing the personality of ( insert your name) to include more love, more appreciation, and more joy. These are easily gained under the mentorship of an alignment with Infinite Intelligence. All that is required of me is to flourish from the heart - the seat of all wisdom.

With an attitude of reverence and thanksgiving I allow love to be the something that comes through me more fully today. From the inner reaches to every particle of external space. And so it is.
